Contract Types

 

What is a contract?
A contract is  legally binding document which a person will have to sign when joining a company, The contract will cover various topics such as pay, and how long they will work for and if they get access to sick/maretinty pay and how many days of a year they get.
Why is it a good to have a contract?
Contracts are away of insuring that you have a job, They are also a good way of keeping track of the benfenits you recieve

  • Fixed Term
  • On completion
  • Freelance
  • Casual
  • Commission
Full time
Full time contract is a contract in which a person will work 36-40 hours a week, Normaly from 9am 5pm
Part time
part time contract is a contract in which a person will work less hours at minium wage
Fixed Term
Fixed term contract ends on a particular date, or on completion of a specific task, eg a project
On Completion
This mostly applys to film industry in which the actors and everyone who was used in the film get payed
Freelance
Freelance contract is a contract in which a person is hired by other people to do work, Therefore he pays his own wages
Casual
Casual Contract is a on and off contract, They will phone you when they need you so one week you might work for 24 hours and the next week you could be working 8
Commission
Commission contract is where somebody commissions you to produce/make something
